Day 01:
Arrival at Delhi
Upon arrival at the International airport in Delhi, our
representative will meet and assist you at the airport and
transfer you to your hotel.
Relax and unwind for the night.
Delhi could be called a canvas on which the colors of the past
and the present intermingle and make beautiful multi-hued
scenery. It is a beautiful city having a very rich cultural and
historical heritage. Delhi is a city of contradictions where the
old monuments and temples coexist with the strong and mighty
skyscrapers. The city has been ruled by many dynasties over the
centuries. Delhi is a perfect place to commence your journey to
the mystical land, India. Delhi is a metropolitan city
witnessing a fast pace growth with every passing moment.
Exploring this kaleidoscope can surely turn out to be a pleasant
and mesmerizing experience.
After Breakfast proceed for the sightseeing tour of Delhi. The
city tour covers both old and new Delhi comprehensively.
Old Delhi - Shahjahanabad, built by Mughal emperor Shah
Jahan, is now known as Old Delhi. The city has many ancient
monuments, partially in the ruins and partially intact. These
monuments are testimonies of the rise and fall of many
dynasties. Visit the most famous landmark of Delhi, Red Fort.
Explore the crowded streets of Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk on
a rickshaw and discover the lovely and colorful bazaars located
in the narrow lanes of old Delhi.
New Delhi - New Delhi is an imperial city built by British and
has buildings that are reminiscent of British Raj. It is a
cosmopolitan city. The city has high rise skyscrapers, ultra
modern shopping malls, entertainment parks and exhibition
grounds
everything which make a city truly international.
Set off for an excursion to Humayun's Tomb and Qutab Minar.
Enjoy an enthralling drive across the monumental India Gate and
the Parliament House.
After touring Old and New Delhi, proceed to enjoy fascinating
Light and Dance Show or Parsi Anjuman Dance Show in the evening.
Dinner at Restaurant/Hotel. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Roam the Connaught Place market and shop for souvenirs and
other local specialities.
Day 02:
Delhi - Agra
After enjoying the breakfast, depart for Agra by road (210
km/3.5hrs). The journey by road will allow you to witness the
beauty and calmness of the villages of India. If time permits,
we will stop by at a village to introduce you to the simple
lifestyle of the inhabitants of these tiny villages.
On arrival check in at the hotel.
Situated on the banks of River Yamuna, Agra is a home to three
world heritage sites. Known as Agraban in the times of
Mahabharata, it is a former capital of Mughals. The city of Taj
as it is commonly known attracts millions of tourists from all
over the world. The extensive city tour covers both old and new
part of the city. The old town is near Kinari Bazaar and offers
a glimpse of the lifestyle of the royal era of Mughals. The new
part near cantonment area has numerous handicraft shops and
restaurants. The city is also famous for its lip smacking
Mughlai cuisine. The splendid city boasts of many magnificent
monuments built of pristine white marble and bright red stone.
Some of the most famous monuments are Agra fort,
Itmad-ud-daulah- built by Empress Noor Jehan in the fond memory
of her father, Chini-ka-rauza- the tomb surmounted by a single
huge dome, Jami Masjid, Ram Bagh and Akbar's Mausoleum.
We will first visit The Taj Mahal in a tonga or a battery
operated van as petrol and Diesel operated vehicles are not
allowed near Taj.
Taj Mahal, the symbol of undying love, is a fairytale like
marvel built by Emperor Shah Jahan in fond remembrance of his
beloved wife. Over the centuries, the Taj Mahal has fascinated
people from around the planet. The beauty of this beautiful
mausoleum can neither be described in word nor can be painted on
the canvas. The splendid beautiful monument is well known for
its amazing architecture, domes and beautiful carvings. The
architecture of the Taj is a combination of different styles of
architecture.
Agra Fort - Commissioned by Mughal Emperor Akbar and completed
by his grandson Emperor Shah Jahan is a perfect specimen of
Mughal love for architecture encompasses a whole centre inside
its huge walls, consisting of a series of courtyards, gardens
and buildings like the Motif Masjid and Jehangir's Palace.
Evening will be free for leisure activities. Dinner and night
stay at Agra.
Day 03:
Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
Following breakfast at the hotel, we drive to the Capital city
of the Rajasthan, Jaipur. Situated at a distance of 222 km (4.5
hrs) off Jaipur, the drive in itself is an enthralling
experience, a chance to explore the laidback lifestyle of rural
India.
Before proceeding, we visit the abandoned capital city of
Mughals, Fatehpur Sikri. Akbar, the Mughal emperor built this
city in 16th century in honor of Sufi Saint, Sheikh Salim
Chisti. The deserted city of Mughals is a fairytale city and now
is mostly in rubbles but yet in a pristine condition. The city
has well sculpted monuments that are perfect amalgam of Hindu
and Muslim style of architecture.
Reach by noon and check in at the hotel in Jaipur.
Jaipur, beautiful city of Rajasthan is the ideal point to start
your discovery of Rajasthan's rich cultural and historical
heritage. The foundations of the city, known for its heroism and
splendor, were laid Maharajah Sawai Jai Singh II of the
Kachchawaha dynasty from the nearby city of Amber, which was the
former capital of the state. The city is a vast open-air museum.
It is a colorful city and is best explored on feet as the actual
charm of the city lies in its narrow lanes. The city is well
renowned for its imposing forts, magnificent palaces and Bazaars
bustling with activities. The city is a perfect blend of
modernity; you can still find animal buggies jostling for the
space on roads with motorcars and buses. Overnight will be at
the hotel in Jaipur.
Roam through Jauhari Bazaar and shop for exquisite jewelry and
semi precious stones. Visit a midnight Movie and theatre nearby.
Day 04:
Jaipur
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, visit to the Amber Fort.
Enjoy the royalty with an elephant ride to ascend the hill on
top of which this spectacular fort is situated.
Amber Fort - Amber Fort is located in Amber, the formal
capital of Kachhwaha clan. Situated 11 km off Jaipur, the
construction of the fort was started by Raja Man Singh I in 1592
and was completed by Raja Jai Singh I. The fortress palace is a
perfect example of both Hindu and Islamic style of
ornamentation. The imposing fort built on a hillside overlooks a
lake. The beautiful image of the fort on the glittering waters
of the lake is really spectacular and mesmerizing.
Hawa Mahal - Hawa Mahal is a five storey facade built in
pink color in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. It is one of
the prime tourist attractions of Jaipur. The building was made
to serve the ladies of the royal family to watch everyday life
and processions in the city. Also known as Palace of winds, the
palace showcases a beautiful blend of Rajput and Mughal style of
architecture.
City Palace - Constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of
Kachhawaha clan of Rajputs, City Palace is a splendid monument
situated in the heart of the old city. The imposing palace is
built mostly of red sandstone; the fort consists of a number of
fascinating buildings inside its massive walls entailing Mubarak
Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Maharani Palace and Sri Govind Dev Temple.
It is a perfect example of Rajasthani and Mughal manner of
architecture. A part of the palace still makes home to the
former Maharaja.
Jaigarh Fort - Jaigarh fort is one of the most
magnificent forts of India. Built to tighten the defense Amber
and Jaipur, the fort has the world's largest cannon, Jaiwana.
The fort also houses a museum.
Evening will be free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay
will be at Jaipur.
Day 05:
Jaipur - (Distance 130 Kms / Drive Time : 2 Hrs)
Founded by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan in the 7th century, Ajmer is a
famous pilgrimage in India. Ajmer lies at a distance of 132 kms,
to the south-west of Jaipur. The city till 12th century remained
under the Chauhan regime. In 1193 A.D. the possession passed to
Mohammed Ghori after he defeated Prithviraj Chauhan. It was
returned to the local rulers, upon payment of tribute. In later
years, Ajmer was under the rule of Mughal Empire. The Scindia's
ruled the city in 19th century, finally passing it to British
Empire.
Ajmer has witnessed ascent and descent of many dynasties. Its
monuments and culture are mute testimonies of its glorious and
interesting past. It a sacred place revered by Hindu and Muslim
alike.
It is an important pilgrimage center for both Hindus and
Muslims. Dargah Sharif-tomb of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din
Chisti is very famous across the country and is equally
respected by people of all religions. Overnight stay will be at
Ajmer.
 
Day 06:
Ajmer - Delhi (Distance 320 Kms)
Morning Breakfast at hotel and departure for Delhi by road.
Arrive at Delhi and transfer to the international airport to
board for the flight for your onward destination. Tour ends with
memorable trip of North India.
