02: DelhiVisit the magnificent buildings built during british Raj such as Parliament House and President's House. Day 03: Delhi - Varanasi Said to be one of the oldest cities in the world, Varanasi is a sacred city dotted with numerable temples and ghats. The city exudes an aura of the ancient times. Day 04: Varanasi Later visit to Sarnath, situated 10 kms off Varanasi. Day 05: Varanasi - Khajuraho Acknowledged as the world heritage site, the temples of Khajuraho are renowned for their erotic sculptures and images. Day 06: Khajuraho After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the Western and Eastern temples of Khajuraho covering Kandariyo Mahadeo temple, Chaunsath Yogini temple and others. Day 07: Khajuraho - Orchha - Jhansi - Agra Orchha is renowned for its spectacular temples and monuments adorned with painted murals. Day 08: Agra - Jaipur Proceed to visit the edifice that is epitome of love - The Taj Mahal. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in fond remembrance of his second wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Day 09: Jaipur Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the city palace covers a huge area comprising series of gardens, courtyards and buildings. Day 10: Jaipur - Jodhpur Post breakfast, depart for Jodhpur by road. Day 11: Jodhpur Founded by Rajput chief Rao Jodha in 1459 has massive forts and splendid palaces. Visit Mehrangarh fort - a magnificent fort situated on 150m high hill. Day 12: Jodhpur - Udaipur On the way, take brief halts at Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh. Ranakpur has beautiful Jain temples known for brilliant architecture and intricate carvings. Day 13: Udaipur In Udaipur, visit Lake Palace, Jag Mandir Palace and City Palace museum. Day 14: Udaipur - Delhi - Departure After breakfast, drive back to Delhi. Later transfer to international airport for onward journey. |
