Day 01:
Arrival at Delhi
You will be received by our company representative on your
arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport.
Transfer to hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02:
Delhi
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, proceed for a city tour of
Delhi covering both Old and New Delhi.
Visit the monuments like Red Fort, Qutab Minar and Jantar
Mantar that are testimonies of the bygone era.
Explore the narrow lanes of famous Chandni Chowk on a cycle
rickshaw and enjoy the street food it is renowned for. Also
visit New Delhi and see the magnificent buildings built during
British Raj like India Gate, the President's House and
Parliament House.
Set off for an excursion to newly built beautiful Akshardham
Temple.
Night stay in Delhi.
Day 03 /
Delhi - Mukundgarh (By road)
Morning depart for Mukundgarh by road. Explore the Shekhawati
region-renowned for havelis with fine frescoes. The havelis in
Shekhawati normally consist of two courtyards, outer one that is
meant for the men and the inner one serves women.
Nawalgarh - Built in 1737, it has good number of well
maintained havelis adorned with marvelous frescoes depicting
mythological themes.
Mandawa - Situated in the heart of Shekhawati region is
known for its fort, havelis and baolis. The city is very famous
and is an important destination in every itinerary of Rajasthan.
Dundlod - Dundlod is situated 30kms southeast of
Mandawa. The main attractions of Dundlod are its fort and
palace, the Jagathia Haveli, Satyanarayan Temple, and Tuganram.
Overnight stay will be in Mukundgarh.
Day 04:
Mukundgarh - Jaipur (By surface)
Early morning depart for Jaipur by road. Arrive Jaipur and
transfer to hotel. Evening will be free at leisure.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 05:
Jaipur
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Amber Fort.
Situated 11 km off Jaipur, it is a perfect example of both Hindu
and Islamic style of ornamentation. Enjoy the elephant ride
while ascending the hilltop fort.
Also visit the City Palace and Palace of Winds also known as
Hawa Mahal. The City Palace is the biggest edifice in Jaipur.
Built by Maharaja Jai Singh II, it is a beautiful amalgam of
Rajasthani and Mughal manner of ornamentation. A part of palace
now serves as a museum.
The beautiful Hawa Mahal built by Maharaja Pratap Singh is one
of the specimens of marvelous piece of architecture by the
Rajput rulers. The palace has small and beautifully carved
windows to enable the royal women to peek into the streets below
and observe the daily life as well as the processions in the
city.
Another landmark of the city is the solar observatory built in
the 17th century. It is the best preserved of the five
observatories built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. It has a
collection of complex astronomical instruments providing
accurate information till date.
Evening relish a traditional Rajasthani dinner at Chokhi dhani
(an ethnic village resort) and get a glimpse of the lifestyle of
the inhabitants of rural Rajasthan. Also enjoy the folk dances,
puppet shows and other interesting activities. Overnight stay
will be in Jaipur.
Day 06:
Jaipur - Agra (By road)
Morning depart for Agra and witness the tiny villages through
your way to Agra.
Enroute visit the estranged capital of Mughals. Built in
gratitude towards Sufi saint, Sheikh Salim Chisti by Emperor
Akbar, it was abandoned by the Mughals because of the paucity of
water. The city has elements of both Hindu and Islamic style of
ornamentation.
Visit the famous Buland Darwaza, Salim Chisti's Tomb, Jama
Masjid and Panch Mahal. After arriving Agra, visit the imposing
Agra Fort. - a perfect specimen of Mughal love for architecture
encompasses a whole centre inside its huge walls, consisting of
a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings like the Motif
Masjid and Jehangir's Palace. It was Commissioned by Mughal
Emperor Akbar and completed by his grandson Emperor Shah Jahan.
Night stay in Agra.
Day 07:
Agra - Delhi (By road)
Early morning visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. It is a beautiful
edifice exemplifying immortal love and passion-the Taj Mahal.
Taj Mahal is an architectural marvel, built by Emperor Shah
Jahan to keep the promise made by him to his dying wife, Mumtaj
Mahal. It is renowned for its stunning architecture, elegant
domes and beautiful inlay work. Later drive to Delhi. Arrive
Delhi and transfer to hotel. Check in at hotel. Night stay in
Delhi.
Day 08:
Departure
Morning transfer to international airport for connecting flight
for your onward destination. |
