Day 01:
Arrival at Delhi
Arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport - Delhi followed
by a traditional welcome rituals and transfer to hotel.
Over night stay at Delhi.
Day 02:
Delhi
Post breakfast; proceed for the sightseeing tour of Delhi
extensively covering both Old and New Delhi.
Visit the monuments of New Delhi covering Qutab Minar,
Humayun's Tomb that are testimonies of the bygone era and also
visit Baha'i Lotus Temple. Lunch at local restaurant. Proceed
towards Old Delhi exploring the narrow lanes of famous Chandni
Chowk and photo-stop at Red Fort.
Drive past the magnificent buildings built during British Raj
like India Gate, the President's House and Parliament House.
Enjoy Cultural Dance Show in the evening showcasing various
classical performances Lotus Temple of different states of
India.
Over night stay at Delhi.
Day 03:
Delhi - Agra (203 km, approx 4 hour)
After an early breakfast at Hotel, depart for Agra.
On arrival, transfer to hotel for check-in.
Post lunch; visit the marvelous Taj Mahal. Built entirely out
of pristine marble, Taj Mahal is an architectural marvel with
beautiful carvings, magnificent domes and marble screens. It is
a mausoleum erected by Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan, in fond
memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal.
Drive to the Red Fort of Agra where we will visit Emperor
Akbar's and his grandson Emperor Shahjahan's palaces.
In evening explore the handicrafts markets of Agra.
Over night stay at Agra.
Day 04:
Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur (235 km, approx 5 hour)
After breakfast, proceed to Jaipur with enroute visit Fatehpur
Sikri w hich houses the Emperor Akbar's deserted capital,
Fatehpur Sikri.
Visit the palaces complex and the mosque with Sufi saint Sheikh
Salim Chistie's tomb after driving 40 kilometers or 25 miles
further from Agra.
Proceed to Jaipur & Check into hotel.
Over night stay at Jaipur.
Day 05:
Jaipur
After Breakfast proceed to Amber Fort on Elephant back
ascending and return by Jeep.
Further visit the Maharajas' City Palace to view the
fascinating textiles gallery in Mubarak Mahal, the Sarvatobhadra
(Hall of Private Audience) with the two famous Gangajallis
(Silver Urns to carry Ganga River water), the colorful courtyard
of Chandra Mahal with its Peacock Gate and the "Diwan-i-Am"
Art Gallery that houses some of the most famous Mughal and
Rajasthani miniature paintings.
Stepping out of the City Palace we will visit the Astronomical
Observatory that is largest one built by the founder of Jaipur,
Sawai Jai Singh.
All except one of its astronomical instruments are still
functional.
Drive past Hawa Mahal for photo-stop.
Over night stay at Jaipur.
 
Day 06:
Jaipur - Mandawa (200 km, approx 4 hour)
After breakfast, drive to Mandawa.
Upon arrival, check in to hotel. Post lunch, walking to tour
visiting old haveli's enriched with beautiful frescoes paintings
of the bygone era.
Evening free at leisure.
Over night stay at Mandawa.
Day 07:
Mandawa - Bikaner (180 km, approx 3 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Bikaner.
This desert city has a stark beauty which is totally unique.
The wide-spread sand dunes, desert agility, the marvelous
palaces and temples and archeological treasures all add to the
lasting charm of Bikaner.
Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour
of Bikaner.
Visit Junagarh Fort and LalGarh Museum.
Over night stay at Bikaner.
Day 08:
Bikaner - Khimsar (250 km, approx 4 hour)
After breakfast drive to Khimsar.
Khimsar is a magnificent fort built by the Maharanas of
Marwars.
On arrival, check in the heritage fort hotel. Perched on the
edge on the great Thar Desert in the heart of rural India, the
unique fort at Khimsar offers a widerange of experiences. The
battle-scarred walls and turrets remindone of the glorious past
of this place.
Enjoy the late afternoon exploring the fort and walk in the
small villages to experience rural of life in central Rajasthan.
Over night stay at Khimsar.
Day 09:
Khimsar - Jodhpur (90 km, approx 1.5 hr) - Luni (25 km, approx
30 mins)
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur stands on a range of
sandstone hills surrounded by a strong wall nearly 10 kms in
length, with seven gates, dominating the city is an eminence
surmounted by a massive fortress.
Within the walls are royal palaces with priceless jewels and a
striking collection of arms.
On arrival check-in hotel and visit Mehrengarh Fort and Jaswant
Thada.
Proceed to Luni.
Over night stay at Luni Fort.
Day 10:
Luni - Ranakpur (160 km, approx 3.5 hours drive) - Udaipur (70
km, approx 1.5 hours drive)
After breakfast, drive to Ranakpur. Stop for lunch at Maharani
Bagh Hotel and sightseeing of the famous Chaturmukh Jain Temple
and the smaller Jain and Hindu temples in the same complex.
This city is one of the five holy places of the jain community.
The most important temple is dedicated to Rashabhji.
Later drive 70 kilometers to Udaipur, the city of Lakes and
Palaces.
Over night stay at Udaipur. |
